At the back of my daughter's in-laws' house, a family of Tuis played and sang, to my delight, as we celebrated our grandson's fourth birthday today. These native birds are increasing in numbers, and its so wonderful to hear them.

    I have never heard of a Tui bird nor a Kowhai tree. Both names sound so exotic : ). Awesome capture, love the twist of the bird!!!
