Sean, I really like this image, along with the others you have uploaded here. You have a way in which you can capture shots that are only presented for a split second, yet your exposure, composition, lighting, and colors are all stellar, as if you really took your time composing the shot. The kid in this photo is in the perfect position, its almost like you paid him to stand there like that! Keep it up, I can't wait to see what else you have managed to capture!

Tuol Sleng is a war museum in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Pol Pot turned the high school into a genocide prison during the late 1970s. You wouldn't know it unless you looked real close at the shadows on the floor, but there were at least ten people between myself and the boy in the photograph. I spent about an hour watching this composition change. The museum was startling and I immediately identified with the boy when he and I were in the room together. When he and his family reached the end of the hallway I saw my photograph.

Sensational. Had always heard about this place, now I know... I heard these were nicely done portraits of the soon-to-be-kiled prisoners. Amazing, Sean.

This is a powerful photograph of a very powerful place with a deep and dark history. I'm glad to read that you went to Cambodia instead of the normal spots in Asia and am especially happy that you included the museum about Pol Pot and the Khmer Rogue instead of Ankor Wat. :-) Again, very well done photo.
