This is a venerable old live oak, with several beards...a common sight in my neighborhood.

Spanish moss is an epiphyte, or air plant, grows quickly, and even has an inconspicuous flower if you care to look.

    Yes, it will grow indoors if misted, and it will grow rapidly. Just hang it somewhere.
