Walking the streets of Singapore's Little India on the morning after the Deepavali Festival.
Wild stuff.
The night before was more insane that I expected...and I expected insane. I was tossed around the over crowded small streets like a tall, skinny, pale beachball in a sea of very intense body oder and mustaches. I just wanted to take pictures, and I was nearly drown in a crowd of thousands that descended on the small area of central Singapore for India's beautiful 'Festival of Lights'.
It was amazing... however, you add Singapore's 100% humidity into the mix, and you have a recipe for a desire to forget about your camera for a change, and just be back in your air conditioned hotel room, waiting for room service with a frozen 40oz Carlesberg beer bottle in your fist.
..and still.. my affair with Portra 160NC pushed to 400, and developed at 360... continued long into the night, and after that cold beer and a night of sleep...back on to the streets to absorb and capture the morning after. Now, hauntingly quiet, like the tide rolled out, and left people sleeping all over the place.
