Spotlight Sea

I’m going to take you back six years! In 2002, I was battling through my final year in high school. The clique that I involved myself with were beach bums. All of them! During the warmer months, we would drive straight from the school’s parking lot to the middle pier off of the boardwalk in Seaside Heights, NJ. Half of us would surf and the other half would sit around a bonfire, eat marshmallows and make fun of each other until our curfew. This lingered through the summer after graduation.
It is now 2008 and although everyone from high school has stopped going to our spot on the beach next to the pier, I still find myself there every so often. It is by far the best place to go and relax, sort out my thoughts, watch the waves crash against the shore and take photographs of the new batch of surfers. It will never get old to me and will always be one of my favorite places to be.
