.. As the light of the morning, tender grass springs out of the earth by shining after rain...2 Samuel 23: 4

It had stopped raining when I photographed these Crocuses but there were still droplets left on them. .An interesting story about these flowers is that we didn't plant them... Several years ago they appeared by a stump in back of our house..We think perhaps a bird carried the seeds and dropped them there...Occasionally we see yellow and white crocuses mixed with the purple but the purple has been usually more predominant..I am always glad to see the first signs of spring in these fragile delicate flowers.

If we were speaking Latin, we could say "croci" ("croak-eye"), a lot easier than saying crocuses! Very beautiful shot. I trust this is not the lttle group laid waste by Tippi (your next photo)

Thank you for the comments...Richard, Tippi, did run through these flowers but later in the
afternoon...I captured this shot in the morning spell check says "crocuses", is appropriate too... at least it hasn't corrected me yet:) Croci" (croak eye) sounds too much like the noise a frog makes, even though it may be easier to say, I'll say it my way, thank you!:)
