[Arlington National Cemetery]

Here was a man of war . . . and of peace. A Teutonic Knight come to life. A Christian gentleman. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy.

He was my father. I never met a better man. Thanks, Dad.

I wish I could disagree with you my dear friend but the truth is we are lost and sadly our fellow citizens don't seem to care.
I'd like to know when the service and sacrifice of so many young American men and women became a "holiday"
I seriously doubt any family who has lost a loved one in the defense of American freedom or the liberation of oppressed people is celebrating

What a shame and a disgrace it is that so many people believe Memorial Day is for nothing more than a damn bar b que and a 3 day bender
These fools can't even appreciate the fact that brave men like Mr.Knight ,my own father and millions more made it possible for them to have their celebrations with no regard for the true meaning of such danger and sacrifice both our current troops and those of the past faced down and defeated.

Every year fewer and fewer Americans remain who know exactly what Memorial Day means and represents
The dumbing down of America goes on........sad and very disgraceful
