This is in Montreal, Quebec. I was very disappointed that somebody told me that I'm not allowed to take photos. The place was just amazing today!

Thank you, Andrea! I wished to have some friends with me and just enjoy the moment and do not care about any comments. I'm usually shy... but today when the guy told me that I'm not allowed...I was scared for a moment!

Years ago when my parents were still alive I had that experience in a chain store...I won't mention the name ...all I was doing was capturing the moment and taking pictures of my parents to remember the day of our shopping experience,,,My Dad was in a wheel chair at that time after his stroke and while he could walk a short distance around the house with a cane it was hard for him to walk in a big store so we pushed him in a wheel chair. We knew he would not be around too much longer considering his age and his frail health.I wanted to record those last moments with him...The manager of the store rushed over to me and said in an angry tone... "no pictures allowed in the store,"...I couldn't see what harm that I was doing and like you I am shy.so I did not speak up for myself but just put my camera away, apologized and because there were no signs restricting customers from taking pictures I told him I didn't realize cameras were not allowed...years later I see more people shooting pictures now without question and I am surprised you were not allowed when this was outside on a street in a public shopping area..

I had the same experince once in Romania when I was visiting. No photos allowed in malls. They did have signs with no smoking and no photos. I have seen people smoking but when I was about to take a photo with my son and husband somebody showed me the sign.
