From September 30 to Oktober 29, 2016, seven young artists transformed a vacant industrial structure on the outskirts of Saarbrücken, Germany through a project called Tjurip: the graduation effort for their studies at the HBK Saar. Not content with just presenting their individual works, they interacted with the spaces, textures and architectures of the place and made it truly their own in a remarkably short amount of time. Furthering their reach, they invited others to read and perform there and attracted considerable public attention. I was invited to read from my book Waschaktive Substanzen, and it was one of the nicest evenings in recent memory for me.

The building's cellar was one of its most alluring features. It was home to Karen Fritz's installation "Partikulaeres Kontinuum" (not shown in this image).

The seven artists involved: Martin Fell, Karen Fritz, Naomi Liesenfeld, Maria Seitz, Agnes Müller, Lucie Sahner, Thilo Seidel. Thank you!
