"Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it gives his colour in the cup, when it moves itself aright. Proverbs 23: 31"

I did some research to learn what kind of fungus it is. Scarlet Cup grows on hardwood sticks and branches. It is found in winter and springtime. It is always fun to photograph anything new that I haven't seen before today in nature that came from our woods.

If we walk by it too quick
A tiny scarlet cup fungus
Attached to a hardwood stick
May move away from us
If eyes not see it there to find
The red colors of its wine....

Educational photo, at first glance I thought it was someone's foot!

Thank you for comments...I also could see the shape of a foot, Fred or a camouflaged
designed boot......The fungus was so tiny but I love these kinds of finds that sometimes are not always seen or overlooked.
