Colin Henshaw said (26 Mar 2017):

Excellent image. The Carina star cloud is above the peak, with the Eta Carina nebula located inside it, and the Southern Cross partially obscured. The Large Magellanic Cloud is off to the right, near the edge of the field. The Milky Way can be traced up past the False Cross into Vela and Puppis. The variable star L2 Puppis is faint at around 7m.9, confirming this is a recent photograph. The bright star Canopus is up towards the top right.
