Our trip started out with a chance meeting with this young man. Like many, he had a sob story of how the police were messing with him. I listened. Probably because I recently retired from teaching guys just like him in the NJ youth prison system. He turned to me abruptly and asked me to take his picture. Right afterwards the police rolled up and started questioning him. I slowly walked away, because I didn't want to spend my time in St Augustine, FL
visiting the jail. I still wanted to advocate for him. I felt like I could go back to work...for only a moment! Hope he sees this, and I really pray he finds a better way.

Hopefully he finds the right path in his life! A great candid!
