" whom God hath given him power to eat thereof and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor; this is the gift of God. Ecclesiastes 5: 19 "

The oriole stopped long enough for me to shoot this picture before he flew down to his jelly dish that hangs on the hummingbird stand ..

This bird is known either as Northern or ( Baltimore Oriole which it was named in the beginning)...then renamed Northern but more commonly known as Baltimore which they are back to calling it again... He is beautiful whatever name he goes by:) He and other birds truly are gifts of God and he gave them wings to fly for a good reason.

It is only 47 degrees today, with cold wind coming from the east "not fit for man or beast" as the saying goes... and the migratory birds that don't live here year around are wondering what happened to spring?

Best View in light Box! Thank you!

That kind of weather is such a challenge for the birds, hopefully it will clear off and warm up soon. These are such handsome birds in every way and you got a marvelous close-up of this fellow!!
