After a terrible storm on Sanibel Island Fl, I went out at low tide to survey the damage. Perched on one of the sandbars was this gigantic 9 legged star fish.

they prefer to be referred to as "sea stars" as they had a falling out with regular fish and no longer wish to be associated with them.
not that i mind, particularly, but i just thought you might like to avoid a potentially embarrasing situation next time you're talking to a sea star and accidentally call it a starfish. -
