    Thank you all for your comment...I have seen more of this female cardinal than I ever have
    before....She has been hanging around a lot and I think she might have her nest near by...It is the first time I have caught her preening on a branch and I am glad she is over her frenzy of
    jumping on the window. to sing her happy melody on the branch. She is by nature a clean
    bird and beautiful

    I love to watch birds preen their feathers, they seem at their most relaxed when doing so. This is a delightful capture of a bird who is very much in her element and happy with her world. Love it!!

    Thank you all for the comments..I am glad for you Aaron that you have a couple of Northern
    Cardinals nesting nearby..If you are feeding the birds it will be fun for you to photograph when they bring their young to the feeder.
