"Who are these that fly as a cloud and as the doves to their windows? Isaiah 60: 8 "

A bird of peace and love
Is the Mourning Dove
Nature brought a window
Such as a stained glass.....
For God's light to show
Thru' His spirit to pass....

The mourning dove came to our feeder to eat a few sunflower seeds today and he gave me
a peaceful feeling when he flew to the branch. What really thrilled me was the beautiful
display of colors that the sunlight brought through the branches surrounding him..
It reminded me of stained glass .Several times he fluffed out his feathers and this is
one of the pictures I shot of him doing that ...It has been a hot day and maybe he was
trying to keep cool. The last time he came was July 2nd, but he didn't stop to eat that time..

When I walked outside earlier I knew he was back as I heard his song before I saw him
and there is no other song to compare to the sound of his voice.

My late mother's birthday is tomorrow on the 18th and this page is in dedication to her.

Thank you Lynn...He was alone the last time he came earlier this month also and it was as if
he came to observe at that time without stopping to eat...This time he lingered long enough
to eat.and even came back again a little later on this afternoon.....Maybe he will be hanging
around more now and might bring his mate with him.next time.

A stunning portrait of him against a stained glass like background! I love these beautiful birds, too, and this makes such a lovely dedication to your Mother. Hoping he will be back again soon with his mate :)
