Granny'sHouse
"De Laatste stuiver"
Or, "The Last Nickel" in English.
My gran's home in Friesland (northern Holland).
It used to be a pub in the 1800's, until they were forced to close down because of the local prohibition (which didn't last long of course). However they found a way around it by renting out the chairs for 5 cents to weary travelers and give the occupant a "free" drink.
Hence the name.
I have fond memories of this place, it's now a bit tilted, damp and drafty, but I hope it stays in the family for a long time to come.
Photo taken with my grandfather's old Asahi Pentax. Which I thought was fitting.
That chair, was his chair, right by the bar of course.

Great photo. Really invites to wondering about the story behind the location. And a story like that deserves a great image like this. Using the Pentax really fits the big picture.
