" God gives it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds....
1 Corinthians 15: 38-39"

No matter the inches,
The tiny House Finches
Know how to dig like a plow
Head and feet buried in snow
While a female cardinal behind
Waited for seeds to find......

Though it doesn't look like it on this picture I went outside several times in the day to uncover their feeder to give the birds more seeds....but it was futile because the snow came down faster than I could catch up with it...Hopefully I am right on the identity of the finch! Sometimes house finches and purple finches resemble each other and from this angle with its head digging in the snow. it is hard to tell:)

I am still digging through pictures of our November 1st snow storm.. We were supposed to get rain and snow last night but so far when I went outside this morning the ground was wet like it had rained but it might hold off for the snow predicted until later today. It is very damp and the sky is overcast in the meanwhile!

Thanks for your comment...Yes, wild birds do indeed get cold in this kind of weather but the only help I can give them is to keep them fed daily~

Both birds are obviously enjoying the seeds you provide them, they're the lucky ones.
