"Thou Lord in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth and the heavens are the works of thine hands....Hebrews 1: 10"

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims at the First Baptist Church and their families in Sutherland Springs Texas... It is a different world that we live in with so much gun violence and it is disturbing and disheartening when it happens with frequency!

I just looked at this image tonight that I captured on Nov. 3rd. The Black-capped Chickadee seemed almost diminished in its tiny size in contrast to the vast background around him but for me it has a spiritual feel including symbolism! I like how he stands strong in the center of his universe. I actually was surprised after viewing the picture as there appears to be a reflective light streaming down around him even though we haven't had sunshine for several days.

Thank you David de London for the weekly nomination of this shot on 11/7/2017 ! Appreciated!

WOW! your words brought me to tears...the gun violence MUST stop and this little chickadee is a symbol of life and the beauty that we need to embrace at this very very sad time in our life. Well thought out.

The first flight?....No he is a year around Chickadee who has been coming to the feeder every
day...These little birds are very tiny and they get around super fast...

A beautiful capture of this stalwart chickadee, Andrea. He sends a special message of stability in our ever changing and increasingly violent world..
