I just put out a few decorations this year for Christmas...They are not of monetary value but are sentimental and meaningful to me for what they represent.

The glass music snow globe of Mary and Jesus with the Christ child plays "Joy to the World" I bought it for my late mother years ago for Christmas when she expressed she liked it at a thrift shop that we went to. When she moved to the Rest Home she couldn't take everything with her so I took back the snow globe for nostalgic reasons. It is my favorite even though it is wound down now from being played a lot over the years I knew my mother liked and enjoyed the music it played.

The Music box on the left side representing children singing also plays "Joy to the world" and it was the last thing I bought this year from the Close out Thrift store in town whose owner recently retired..The reindeer candle holder and the little tree hanger ornament underneath kneeling of Mary with Christ child I also bought from the Close out store a few years ago.

The Teddy bear on the chair plays "I wish you a merry Christmas" It too is wound down and the chair no longer rocks back and forth...I bought it at the old post office in town before the people who worked there at one time moved away and had a sale of stuff they wanted to get rid of...I bought the snowman music box at the same time that plays of course "Frosty the Snowman," The post office also on that end of town is no longer opened for business.

The little black dog in the snow globe with red plaid neck tie doesn't play music but it is a gift I've treasured from my niece Christy. The angel figurine standing I bought simply for its beauty and what the angels on earth who I have known in my life time represent....

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas in advance with safe and Happy Holidays for the year 2018!

I love the story behind each ornament and it is not only heartfelt but what I think Christmas is about, our memories and simple beauty. Merry Christmas, early!!
