"Let me be weighed in an even balance....Job 31: 6"

He's learned to be exact
Like a skillful acrobat....
To do the balancing act
Carefully with his feet....
So far dish stays intact
When he comes to eat..
© Poetry by me AJP

I've watched this fox squirrel when he approaches the glass dish and he instinctively knows just how much weight to bear down on it so that it doesn't tip over...However, I won't say that it will never happen, but I am amazed that the squirrels haven't knocked it over the side of the main feeder into the snow below...

When he was eating today another squirrel climbed up the post and only went half way as there was not room for two of them to share the dish at one time... When it gets dark at night I take the dish back in the house after emptying the contents of it on the main feeder for those who come later and it works out fine. It is a lot easier to keep the seeds in the dish during the day time all in one place rather than have a lot of it get wasted spilling over the sides.

Thank you Andrew Dutton for kindly nominating this image for photo of the week 1/8/2018... Very Appreciated!!!

Best View in Light Box! Thank you!!!
