We have had such freezing weather here that we have had to run our water tap in a dribble to prevent the pipes from freezing...

I got the bright idea to shoot some pictures of the drips before it landed in a pail .It was a challenge but actually fun..I got rid of many duds that did not turn out...I set a black poster mat behind the faucet so that nothing else would distract and experimented. I was amazed over the distorted reflections that the faucet picked up in the chrome.. I could hardly believe my eyes...as our old kitchen looks nothing at all like how it reflected..Sometimes when it is so cold outside you learn to find projects that take your mind off the weather.

Thank you so much Lynn Harvey, for the appreciated nomination on 2/12/2018!!!

Thank you all for your kind words....I just felt like doing something I had never tried before.....
catching the drips in the faucet and learned first hand how tricky it is yet at the same time
it is fun to try..Quite often the drips got away in the pail before I was able to catch them...

Oooh! I like this one! I love that you captured the warm tones and colors in contrast to the cold metal of the sink, creating such stunning colors and reflections on it. Perfectly done!

One more note, keep experimenting with new ideas as you clearly have a talent with it! And water is one of the most versatile and interesting subject matters to play around with in capturing great and unexpected results! I can relate to your description about this photo idea and the different results you got by just trying new and different things with water because I have tried a lot with water and it was incredible seeing all the different results I could capture in seconds of each picture. Dropping stones in water was my favorite experience so far with capturing water because of all the patterns and shapes it would create each time. I really love your faucet idea because of the two vastly different elements. Keep posting!
