Let me just take a moment to step upon my soapbox... If I had a dollar everytime a camera user talked about buying a well over $500 lens... Well.... I'd have enough cash to get my dream Hasselblad setup ;)
To me, the secret of being a photographer is knowing the best equipment for your own work and getting the most out of the equipment... I'm not always necessarily aiming for the flashy ultra-sharpness many photographers aim for today... Which is why 70's era Pentacon (Praktica) lenses have never let me down... Good contrast, great color, and the lack of extreme sharpness - adds a dreamy quality.
Did I mention you can grab one on Ebay for under $50 with shipping?

Great perspective. A nice change from the typical myspace-self-with-camera-shots. I wish I had the leisure of using film. Excellent!

I exactly what you're talking about, I am a user of Canon FD system, gotta love the depth that only film can produce. I guess Vista isn't too bad as people say.
