Robin Red breast on tree bough
is asking "Spring where art thou?"
Instead of seeing April flowers
And nice gentle rain showers....
He is finding heavy snowing
With blustery winds a ' blowing....
And cannot dig for earth worms
While we still have winter storms

I looked up to the crab apple tree and saw this poor migratory robin looking half frozen while he puffed out his feathers twice his size from the cold..It is very tough on the wild life and especially on the migratory birds who are not used to being in blizzard conditions.

We are experiencing a major storm this weekend with up to to 12 inches of heavy snow. We are predicted to have more snow on Wednesday next week until things get better...the wind is sounding like a freight train up the hill from us and I wouldn't be surprised if we'll have some power outages. If I don't respond to some of the comments it might be because we'll be without electricity due to power lines and trees being down.

Hope the rest of you are having a good weekend!

Thank you for your comments..What is so sad about robins is that they don't know how to shell sunflower seeds as they are used to eating bugs and worms.. it was in the tree in back of the feeder and trying to eat some tiny frozen crab apples left on the tree from last year.. We had hoards of birds coming to the feeder today and even the mourning dove made his appearance....They had to dig for their seeds under the snow as it kept on snowing....

Awesome pov in this fabulous capture! This has to be very difficult for the migrating birds.. hoping things change for the better soon!
