Here is what I manually focused through on what I call the "bird window" with my camera on a tripod to photograph the male Rose breasted Grosbeak in previous picture by using a long exposure last night. I of course manually focused on the rain drops here on this shot where the trellis is obscured over the feeder to show how the rain was pouring down when I shot the picture of the grosbeak right after I shot this one.. I used a slow shutter speed exposure of 1/5 sec on this shot. the rain drops were the focal point here. It was getting dark outside at close to 7:00 PM. This is when manually adjusting the cameras settings for better control is sometimes more dependable than automatic especially through a rainy window when the visibility is poor.
