The young migratory Indigo Bunting will change to a deeper indigo blue in his feathers as an adult...He was born last year and he looks multi color as of now while he is molting.

It felt good to see that he knew what the seed bowl was about and got inside of it to eat.
The bowl is actually an old wooden salad bowl that I replaced a fancier glass dish with that broke last year when a squirrel tossed it on the ground and this seems to be holding up well. The birds don't care if it is not fancy on the outside. .They like what it holds inside.
