I thought this was a female Baltimore oriole at first but it has more of a fringe looking tail plus the beak is slightly different shaped too....It could be a juvenile female orchard oriole...I might be wrong on its identity of what species of migratory oriole this is...but I think it is a young one regardless. I have come to the conclusion that this is a female Orchard Oriole...The young males have a black neck...The adult males are rusty color..

I love it when they perch on the hummingbird feeder stand in front of the flowering crab apple tree....Earlier today I tried to shoot pictures of a male Baltimore oriole fluttering around in a blossoming apple tree on the hill of our driveway but it kept getting lost in the flowers on top of the tree ...I deleted them all as they didn't turn out to my satisfaction....I'll try it again when the sun isn't quite as bright and when I catch him in between the twigs and flowers....I can't tell you how many pictures that I shoot that don't turn out but I keep trying and when I do get a good picture I am delighted.

Best View in Light Box! Thank you!!!
