In the previous picture I mentioned how the common grackle found a chunk of suet this morning on the feeder and chopped it up in the bowl with its beak...Well, the blue jay found what the grackle didn't carry away and quickly made its departure ...The grackle, came back for his cache and it was gone:) I am amazed that I was able to capture this as the blue jay is very speedy with whatever he does, especially if he thinks he is being photographed or if he has a common grackle on his tail catching him in the act of taking his suet:)

There is a fresh new suet cake in a wire container hanging on the trellis. I had earlier crumbled up what was left of the old cake on the tray and the birds like it that way too because it is easier to get at. Maybe I spoil them too much:)
