Shanghai Tower is the tallest building in China and the second tallest in the world. Its about 632 m (2.073 ft) tall with 128 floors. This skyscraper was designed with a curved and twisted form which is expected to reduce wind load by as much as 20 per cent during typhoons.

It is divided into nine vertical zones that include shops at the base, offices in the middle, hotels and cultural facilities near the top. The building also houses the world’s fastest elevator and the world’s highest observation deck.

The city of Shanghai, China is one of the fastest growing cities in the world in terms of skyscraper construction. Other tall buildings in Shanghai are the pagoda-shaped Jin Mao Tower (16th tallest in the world) and the Shanghai World Financial Center (6th tallest in the world).
