I *think* that this is a male "field" cricket. Several of them each day in the south side garden (where the previously shown flowers with the red background grow), as well as the grasshoppers with the large wings that do NOT show up after they've landed on the dirt. These crickets are big ones, unlike those I've occasionally caught inside the house. Charlie (our older puppy) has taken to cricket hunting and is quite successful. The look on his face when he gets a live cricket in his mouth! Oy!

My photography workshop is going well; this is the last day of week 2. I am learning all sorts of things and enjoying seeing others' photos and their "philosophies" of photography.
