I was surprised to see these flowers still blooming on the third day after doing a self portrait with them a couple of days ago ( that I have since removed). I like the interaction with the flowers better on this one where I don't seem quite as aware of the camera with the deer in the headlight look:-) Self portraits are not always that easy as sometimes they come across as too posed.

The hibiscus is beginning to look like a tree..The tallest end of it is at least 6 ft... It was a small plant when we bought it several years ago. Last winter we thought it had died as it lost all of its leaves but revived this past spring when we set it outside after the snow melted. Now it is back in the house again until spring next year. Hopefully it remains healthy and it will bloom profusely this winter while cozily soaking warmth from the sunlight in the south window.

Lovely portrait. I like the hibiscus flowers. So pretty. (I don't think they grow in zone 4.) I really like the sweatshirt (?).

The last of my flowers have gone to seed, now, and I am taking photos of cotoneaster fruit nestled in the leaves, wild variety of fall colors!
