" For the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot of the cherubim, that spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD. 1 Chronicles 28: 18"

The American Goldfinches
Measure across at 5 inches...
Winter hues are defined
As the Lords eyes assigned.
For why their feathers alter
and head becomes refined,
To fly wings at God's altar....
┬ęPoetry by me AJP

Female and male Goldfinches look alike in the winter months as feather change colors. This one perched on the stand before it flew to the feeder.

My thoughts and prayers are with former president George H.W. Bush's family as they grieve.
He was truly a gentleman of good character who was admired and respected by both parties. I watched the funeral today that was televised and it was very moving.
