A White Breasted Nuthatch
Says he is a bird to catch
At one end of a cut off limb.....
Where he is easier to see....
To shoot a picture of him..
In the crab apple tree......

It got up to 41 degrees this afternoon and this guy for one was very happy and so was I to enjoy the warmer temps outside with the birds. A resolution I have made for the New Year is for shooting more pictures like this outside of the feathered friends who are willing for me to get near them than attempting to focus through two window panes where I don't always get the same kind of clarity, I especially love it when the birds pose on the end of this cut off limb as it gives a nice clear view of the blue sky over their head and there aren't so many distractions in the way such as a bramble of twigs to hide them.

Best View in Light Box! Thank you

An excellent close-up of the Nuthatch! I especially like how well his unique beak can be seen from this angle. Beautiful tones and detail here!
