Orvielle, Gran Paradiso National Park, Italy
Located at 2200 m asl, Orvielle was, in the 19th Century, a primary ibex hunting ground for the kings of Italy. Nowadays, since its foundation in 1922, it is included within the Gran Paradiso National Park. Snow, once abundant during winter, is becoming rare on this spot on the Alps due to climate changes, with dare consequences for the environment.
