This is a close-up shot of a block of bronze stock I found in the yard. Apparently it was used as a base for drilling and stamping other metals. The circles, nicks and letters are actually punched, drilled and scratched into the bronze, yet they appear to be raised. The lines are marks left from a band saw. This image has been cropped and resized but not manipulated otherwise
