This is one of the machines used to cut into a peat bog. This one is found in one of the many peat bogs of Ireland. Peat is formation of decaying vegetation.

I wasn't really sure what this machine was until I looked it up the other day... I knew we were in a peat bog when i took the picture, but its for cutting into the peat
