A sense of despair and burdens imposed on one too young - I don't know if that is what you saw or intended, but that's the effect it has on me...also, the colour has an edge to it that contributes to this sense of pain. The rail linestraveling in one direction - the girl could follow or take a different path. In other words: FABULOUS!
