  I love the colors of this piece, but there is a sickliness to those colors that makes the piece look anything but refreshing. It's like when you're out in the sun too long, it's noon, with the sun directly overhead, and the world starts to burn out on your retina...
  The texture of the ripples is also delicious. Great retro look - I agree.

  in love the muted saturation and the balance between light and shadow. really nice composition. my eye is drawn right toward the swimmer and the ripple effect compliments her perfectly.
