Young couple I met while out making photographs. Had no idea that I would spend so much time, and have so much fun, talking to this couple.

    THANKS Patty,
You spelled Diane's name right. I do love her work a great deal. Yes they were wonderful to speak with. We sat beside the road and talked about an hour. They were out on one of our warm fall days picking up cans to sell. She lost her foot to diabetes. Her father had been in the military, thus being an 'Army Brat', she had lived all over Europe.
When I finally asked to make their photograph, they agreed. I was already to make the photograph when she stopped me! I was afraid that she had changed her mind. When I looked up from the waist level finder, she turned, and reached back, and took off the cap her husband was wearing. She then so sweetly, tried to fix his hair and made him remain close to her. She then turned back around proudly, and said, “We’re ready.” I was so touched and moved that she was concerned, not about herself, rather her husband appearance. I learned so much that day… I would probably not have met these people had it not been for photography. I think of them often…

Wow. It was meant to be that day. I believe that when you set out on a photo shoot with an idea or a subject in mind, sometimes it is something else you end up with.Something more special and rewarding than the original idea. Fantastic and thanks for sharing this!!

I would love to know your secret in approaching people!! I see people all the time I would love to photograph but just do not know how to start talking to them much less asking them for a pic. Love your work!

Your description of thsi moment, of so many photos in this place, touched my heart, A tue jewel. It has to go always with this description, although by itself it is intriguing, odd and at the same time sweet and tender.

Really make you wonder why we take for granted what we do.
    What unconditional love really means...
Thanks for sharing and always pair the photo with the description!
