There are people in this world who think there is one true religion and all the others are wrong.
I wish I wasn't one of them.
Because it's a deeply offensive opinion to hold, especially in this day and age. But I can't escape the conclusion.
I want to believe we're all feeling different parts of the elephant, one has the leg and says the elephant's like a pillar, another has the tail and says he's like a rope, a third has the trunk and says he's like a tree branch. But, as a wise man pointed out to me recently, that analogy has the appearance of humility, yet is told from the perspective of someone who sees the whole elephant.
What if the elephant chose to show himself to us? Will I double my arrogance by setting limits on what he can show me of himself? What if we're not alone in a cold bleak world, struggling on our own to make sense of things, but God Himself actually walked among us, and taught us all we need to know?
