In the fog, early one morning walking a back road looking for whatever I came across this coyote that had a really bad day. The word civilized is about the most mis-used word in our language.

I'm guessing it was one of those moments when you're ashamed to be part of the human race -- I have those all the time, unfortunately.

I wonder what would have happened if you stumbled across the person who did this as they were doing it? What would I say? What would I do? And what kind of monstrosity would I be moved to commit? Picture gets my vote.

My instinct was to believe that the deer's leg was caught hopping the fence. Then to learn that it was a coyote I hoped that it was already dead and placed there as bait for others animal to keep safe. The humanity in me won't allow myself to believe that it was just a malicious act because then...what to do indeed, Seanie?
