Freshly Hatched!
I did a double take when I saw this nest of baby black snakes wedged in a dead tree trunk - they would shed their skins which can be seen on upper right, then take of residence. It was really neat to be able to watch them nest, then occasionally catch one departing for winter hibernation. I felt really lucky!
