Blake is a friend of my brothers that was hit on his motorcycle by a car making an illegal U-turn. Blake lost the use of his legs, and his right arm. He is a painter, so the impact was tragic.
The driver of the car was not insured correctly, so he pretty much got off clean. Blake's recovery bills continued to mount.
My brother, on Dec 22 of 2007, rented out Sears Point for a motorcycle track day, and auction to raise funds for Blake. In all, nearly $50k was raised, and we all had a great time on the track for a great cause. Sure, it was freakin crazy to be on race motorcycles in December.. but it was all for Blake.
This shot of Blake was for the tv news spot a few days before the track day.
