When I was a kid my favorite movie was "The day the earth stood still." After seeing it, I was convinced I must have come from another planet. I started constructing all sorts of signaling devices made from foil, coathangers, wire and electric motors from my slot cars.....but Klaatu never came. This shot of the sculptures atop Bartle Hall in Kansas city, Missouri brought all those memories rushing back. Deep in some hidden corner of my brain I still believe they'll come for me.....someday.
