Chimayo
The gateway to Santuario de Chimayo in Chimayo New Mexico Near Taos. Supposedly this place was built over sacred healing dirt.

Thanks guys, this place is pretty easy to get a good photograph of. Every angle is just screaming to be shot. I really want to go back and shoot more inside, there was a service going when we were there and it felt a little weird to walk in with all of my gear.

Great shot! I have been to Chimayo serveral times. It is magical always, especially at dawn or dusk. I talked our teacher at the Santa Fe Workshop go on a class shoot at sunrise. Ok, it was Feb. and about 19 degrees in the pre-dawn darkness. Some are still cursing me. On that last visit in Feb of this year, I was very dismayed to hear that the area and the town have been over run by heroin dealers.
