    did you put two lenses face to face for these?

    Well yes I suppose I did. However at the time I was brand new to digital photography and did not realize that was what I was doing. This was taken with a Sony Mavica CD200 with the telphoto setting at the midway point. I added a Kenko Digital Tele 8x32, that my wife got me for Christmas, and used it to manually focus. I was about 5ft away so the Monarch would not scare off. Lucky to stumble upon the technique and ended up using it a lot before I got the Olympus EV500, so that camera has sat in its bag for a few years.
