Beautiful photo. Very moving. It pretty well says what it's all about and sticks with the theme.

USA does't represent democracy :
-USA has established dictatorship in Latin America.
-USA is controlled by lobbies.
-Bush was elected by mistake.
-USA lies about weapons of massive destruction in Irak...

I love the use of the Boy Scout in this image showing his respects to those that have defended his and others freedom. The use of a faceless portrait and the negative space created by the headstones and the flags is powerful. Even the title is moving. Very well done.

Technically lovely but conceptually a cliché. War dead and a child/youth for the theme of Democracy? Haven't we seen this over and over and over? Rami Daud's work is so much better than this one exception.

Very nice. I LOVE that the face is hidden. You're not so sure on how old he actually is. Also nice DoF.

This is not democracy. But if it were not for these soldiers and thousands like them, their would be no democracy. Superb image!
-
Cristian Ioja gave props (24 Jul 2008):
This photo is not about democracy. It is about the price our children pay to keep the faith, good or bad. The photo is phenomenal, possibly the best I've seen in this theme, ever..
