Gate 137
This is the half way point in my cross Canada move from New Brunswick to Alberta. Not only was it a 4800 kilometer move, but my first time moving more than an hour from where I grew up. I was stuck in Toronto because our plane was broken or something. I was tired, annoyed and already missing home. We were told we had to stay close to the gate so I was left to observe my surroundings. After a bit of wandering I noticed something out the window... a short moment when an international airport was completely still. Nothing in this shot was in motion. It didn't last long... but the planes looked indefinitely parked; all that equipment looked left behind; and there wasn't a soul standing anywhere in the endless stretch of pavement. Something so tranquil in the chaotic world of air travel made the 4 extra hours I spent at Gate 137 worth it.
