Monk with Gun on Roof

This was taken at Song Zanlin Monastery in Shangri-la, China. Several of the young monks were playing with cap guns, just like kids anywhere else in the world will do. They were jumping from roof to roof, hiding, and ambushing each other. I don't know how they got the guns, or why the older monks didn't seem to care what was going on. It reminded me of when I was a kid, and it was fun to watch. You can see the name of the city written in white rocks on the hillside behind the monk.

I guess ignorance can be bliss a sort of wonderful hypocrisy that only children are privy to. A great image by the way.
