If you love an image (whether it's yours or someone else's) and want to make sure others get a chance to see it, you can “feature” it by choosing the “Spotlight” button.
When an image is Spotlighted, it receives enhanced visibility in premium spots throughout the site. Spotlighted images are rotated through these higher-visibility positions to ensure the best opportunity for the images to be seen by JPG users.
If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).
Collections are a JPG+ feature. You must be a JPG+ member to create new collections and to add photos to collections.

Shot with a Canon 5D with a Canon EF IS 28-135mm lens at 50mm. ISO 800 A shutter of 1/200 @ f4.5. Two flash units, one on each side on plane with model. Bedside lamp on left just out of frame as a hair light. Hand held RAW capture. Little PS work other than to adjust WB and crop.
This young lady was the Front Desk Clerk at a motel I stayed in on a recent trip to the State of Louisianna, USA. One of the models I was to have shot with cancelled at the last minute leaving me with a huge hole in my schedule. When I had checked in a had noticed this young lady's beautiful complexion and brillant smile. I asked my fiance to accomplany me down to the desk and ask her if she had ever considered modeling before and if she would be willing to shoot with me. She asked a lot of questions then called her mother and her best friend to come meet and speak with me. They went off for a hour or so to eat after she got off duty and to talk over my proposal.
To my ever lasting amazement and delight....she accepted!
In this image she has absolutely no make up on and had been off duty for about 2.5 hours at the time. We were about 30 minutes into her very first shoot ever and she had already begun to get relaxed and comfortable. The very best image we got that night was of her fully nude and laughing hysterically. However, it is not within JPG's posting guidelines.
This is one of three that will be posted here.
